Mike Franks has lived in Roseville for 33 years. He and his wife, Jan, have been married for 38 years and raised four children in Roseville. All four attended Roseville public schools. Their children are now married, and Mike and Jan have 12 grandchildren. Their son, daughter-in-law, and three grandsons currently live in West Roseville.
Mike earned a degree in Finance from Brigham Young University and later earned an MBA from UC Davis. He began his career in accounting at a Fortune 500 healthcare company before moving into medical device sales.
Over a 36-year career in medical products and services, Mike worked in and led commercial growth initiatives at companies including Baxter, Cardinal Health, Medline, Quest Diagnostics, Roper Technologies, and Sodexo. His professional background includes financial management, sales leadership, strategic planning, and organizational growth.
Mike has described himself as a lifelong registered Republican while also stating that he respects people who hold differing views and intends to listen to residents across the community. He believes its important to have someone new to city government bring an outside perspective.
